Reflections from Frankfurt: A Journey in Astronomy
Reflecting on a journey in astronomy, from the botanical gardens of Windhoek to the bustling atmosphere of Frankfurt while waiting for a flight.
As I find myself back in Frankfurt, waiting for my connecting flight to Bremen, I take a moment to reflect on my recent experiences. After a night of little sleep but a peaceful flight, I have some time to wrap up this blog.
The final day of my journey proved to be quite challenging. Sitting on packed suitcases while awaiting an evening flight does not lend itself well to a productive day. However, we managed to make the most of it. Our first stop was the botanical garden in Windhoek, which was surprisingly free of charge. It was an incredible experience to immerse ourselves in nature one last time. Following that, we enjoyed a late lunch at Joe's Beerhouse, savoring the last warm hours of our trip.
I extend my gratitude to all the readers and especially to Terravista for their invaluable planning support and bookings! The suggestion to change our plans in Mariental due to a wedding was a thoughtful tip. Although the celebration lasted until 3 AM and seemed to be a fantastic event, it was not the right fit for us. Staying in Windhoek turned out to be the better choice, and I would highly recommend visiting the Dan Villon Park as well.
