Reflecting on a Decade of Astronomy
Reflecting on the challenges and achievements in astronomy during 2025, with a decade-long review and original music created using AI.
As 2025 comes to a close, it's time to reflect on the past year in the realm of astronomy. For enthusiasts like myself, the year was challenging, with only a handful of nights suitable for stargazing. Poor weather conditions, scheduling conflicts, and health issues significantly limited my opportunities to observe the night sky. I remain hopeful that 2026 will provide better chances for exploration.
In light of these challenges, I decided to create a year-end review. However, as often happens, new ideas emerged during the process, transforming what was intended to be a brief recap into a comprehensive look back over the last decade. While I had previously reflected on these ten years back in April, this time I have included a video showcasing my photographic achievements from that period.
The video not only highlights my astronomical endeavors but also features original music. Navigating copyright issues with existing music can be tricky, so I opted to create my own compositions. Initially, I aimed to produce a single longer track, but after the first one turned out well, I was inspired to create additional pieces.
All the music and vocal elements in the video were generated using Artificial Intelligence. The AI served purely as a tool for execution, while I managed the content creation, thematic selection, and parameters regarding tempo, mood, and instrumentation through targeted prompt engineering.
