The first "Shrek" was released in 2001 and became one of the most successful animated films of its time. It was directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, with a screenplay based on the children's book of the same name by William Steig.
The plot centers around the ogre Shrek, who embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona in order to regain his peaceful life in the swamp. Accompanying him on his journey is the talkative Donkey.
Judging by the trailer, in the updated Ukrainian dubbing, Donkey is voiced by Fagot from the band TNMK.
"Shrek" was the first winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The film also received a BAFTA award and a nomination for a Golden Globe.
