The new location will focus on the development of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and will be the company's first permanent presence in the Japanese market.
Details of the Intellias Office Opening in Japan
The new Intellias office is located in the Nan-o Building business center in the Minato district of Tokyo and has been operational since April 1, 2026.
The company reports that over 170 million vehicles worldwide utilize Intellias's digital products.
The Japanese office aims to enhance collaboration with local engineering teams and accelerate joint software development for the automotive industry.
The Tokyo office also hosts the IntelliKit platform, which is used for demonstrating and testing solutions for software-defined vehicles.
It integrates onboard software, cloud services, artificial intelligence tools, and human-machine interfaces.
According to CEO and co-founder of Intellias Vitaliy Sedler, the Japanese automotive sector is undergoing transformation, and the company's experience in collaboration with over 40 automotive brands will help local manufacturers enhance their digitization efforts.
Searching for New Talent at Intellias
The company notes that traditional automakers often require three to four years to create automotive software, while new market players manage it in two to three years.
This is why manufacturers are looking for partners with experience in SDV and artificial intelligence.
The company has already announced its intention to hire local specialists for positions such as solution architect, project manager, and other roles related to automotive engineering.
