Capturing the wonder of Space and making it accessible to the general public is the challenge posed by the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation.
Alongside Coelum Astronomia as the official media partner, building on the success of past editions of the contest “The Universe in a Photo,” the Museum presents “Objective Space,” the astrophotography contest aimed at all those who love to capture the night sky in various ways and with different tools, with the goal of enhancing their passion, promoting astronomical culture and rewarding the creativity of participants.
Participants can engage in four thematic categories provided by the contest, namely Landscapes, Solar System, Deep Space, and Auroras and Surroundings.
The jury, composed of Molisella Lattanzi, director of Coelum Astronomia, Camilla Pacifici, former data scientist for the James Webb Space Telescope, Aldo Frisinghelli, president of the Rovereto Image Photographic Circle, Maurizio Galvagni, president of the Rovereto Astronomical Association, and Martina De Maio, astrophysicist at the Museum, will evaluate the submitted works.
The most deserving shots will become the protagonists of a temporary exhibition at the Museum of Science and Archaeology in Rovereto, designed to make the wonder of the Universe accessible to the general public.
