Launch Scheduled for Sophie Adenot Starting February 11
The mission of French astronaut Sophie Adenot is set to launch starting February 11. NASA aims to expedite the Crew-12 crew's deployment following the early return of Crew-11.

The upcoming mission of French astronaut Sophie Adenot is set to launch as early as February 11. The NASA has expressed urgency in deploying the Crew-12 team following the early return of the Crew-11 mission. Since January 14, the International Space Station (ISS) has been operating with just three crew members, whereas it typically accommodates seven astronauts and cosmonauts. This situation has led to a suspension of maintenance operations and experiments aboard the station, making the arrival of the new crew particularly crucial.
According to the American space agency, the Crew-12 flight is scheduled for liftoff on Wednesday, February 11, at 11:00 UTC (12:00 Paris time). The launch will take place from the LC-40 launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, USA. The crew, which includes Americans Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, Russian Andrey Fedyaeiv, and French astronaut Sophie Adenot, has been in quarantine since January 28. They are currently at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, and will travel to Florida on February 6 to complete their quarantine there.
In the event that the launch cannot proceed on February 11, alternative launch windows are available on the following days: – Thursday, February 12, at 10:38 UTC (11:38 Paris) – Friday, February 13, at 10:15 UTC (11:15 Paris)

Sophie Adenot, who was selected for the astronaut program in 2022, represents the European Space Agency.
