The image is a composite collage that shows the approach of Venus and Jupiter over the course of 30 days, culminating in their conjunction on June 9. Starting from May 11, each section of the collage was created with a photograph taken daily until June 9.

In most cases, the shots were taken during civil twilight to highlight the different hues of the sky alongside the planets. On some occasions, due to cloud cover, the images were instead captured during nautical or astronomical twilight.

All photographs were taken with the same camera, the same lens, and the same focal length. During shooting, the camera was kept level with respect to the horizon, and the planets were positioned as close to the center of the frame as possible.

The processing involved cropping all images and positioning the planets at a uniform distance from the center, thus highlighting their mutual movement over the course of the month.
